The new B120C-R binocular compound microscope sports a new design and updated quality-of-life features such as dual power with Universal USB-C to USB and included AA rechargeable batteries! It is designed for teaching demonstrations, clinical examinations, and laboratory applications. An ideal microscope for teachers and students, including those in medical school or with a major in biology. It has a number of advancements in functionality compared to other microscopes in its class, such as enhanced LED lighting, centerable condenser, and Siedentopf head adjustments. Use the microscope for studying fixed or live cells, bacteria, plants and soil, or water samples.

USB-C Rechargeable & Portable

A USB-C to USB-A cable and three rechargeable AA batteries are included, giving more options for how and where you are able to use your microscope. The low power consumption allows you to plug into any USB port such as a wall adapter, laptop/PC, or power bank to power the LED illuminator and simultaneously charge the batteries. This makes it the perfect microscope for large classrooms where power outlets are limited or for field research and mobile labs. The USB-C cable should only be plugged into the microscope when rechargeable batteries or no batteries are installed. Never plug in power when normal AA batteries are in the microscope.

Viewing Head

To customize the microscope to your viewing comfort, the eyepiece spacing can be easily adjusted using a precision Siedentopf mechanism. A diopter is available on the left ocular tube to compensate for asymmetry, and the ocular tubes are angled at 30° to comfortably accommodate a seated position without neck strain. Various eyepieces can be used to increase the overall optical magnification.

Optics

The objective turret provides instant access to 4 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. Additional 25X eyepieces expand the maximum magnification to 2500X with 6 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.

The Stage

The 3-layer mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement for examination of specimen slides. The stage's low-position controls are conveniently placed near the coaxial focus knobs for a streamlined workflow. Examining specimen slides is intuitive and precise for users at any skill level.

Transmitted Illumination

The LED sub-stage lighting provides cool, energy-efficient illumination. The light-source is daylight balanced to produce natural colors for imaging. With our specially developed fly-eye lens, the light is evenly distributed at maximum brightness to improve contrast and resolution. Illumination is further enhanced by a centerable Abbe condenser, which can be realigned for any magnification to guarantee proper lighting.

Digital Imaging

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 1MP digital eyepiece camera. The compact, lightweight camera can be used in place of an eyepiece to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye-strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

HEAD: The bScope is equipped with a Siedentopf type head, 360° rotatable, with 30° inclined Ø 23.2 mm tubes. Binocular and trinocular models comes with a diopter ± 5 adjustment on left eyepiece. The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 48 to 76 mm. The models equipped with plan infinity corrected PLi objectives have a unique swiveling system of the eyepiece tubes for ergonomic positioning of the eyepieces in a high and in a low position. The trinocular head comes with a Ø 23.2 mm tube, ensuring maximum flexibility. The prisms inside the heads are designed to minimize the light absorption for perfect digital imaging

OBJECTIVE LENSES Quintuple nosepiece E-plan IOS 4/10/S40 S100x

All S40x, S60x and S100x oil immersion objectives are spring loaded. All optics are anti-fungus treated and anti-reflection coated for maximum light throughput

FOCUSING: Double coaxial, low-positioned coarse and fine adjustments with 180 graduations. Precision 1.11 µm, 200 µm per rotation, total travel approximately 19 mm. Supplied with an adjustable rack stop to prevent damage to sample and objectives. The coarse adjustment is equipped with friction control

STAGE: The bScope is equipped with a scratch resistant 152/197 x 131 mm stage with integrated 75 x 36 mm X-Y rackless mechanical stage, Vernier scale, soft-close removable specimen holder. The rackless stage has no protruding parts, enables more smooth movements and is safer in use. Low-positioned X-Y control knobs prevent fatique during long working sessions. The bScope can be equipped with a heating stage which can be set up to 50° Celsius by a PID temperature controller. Only available with new purchased microscopes

POLARISATION: The bScope has an integrated slot above the nosepiece for an optional polarization filter

ILLUMINATION: The microscopes of the bScope are equipped with a 1.5 W NeoLED adjustable illumination system for increased light output and a 100-240 Vac integrated power supply. On request, rechargeable batteries are also available

The iScope microscope are supplied with specific attachments that turn the iScope into a state-of-the art material science microscope suitable for various applications. There are three types of materials science microscopes; Metallurgical and polarization microscopes and microscopes specially for asbestos identification.

YEPIECES
Polarization models are supplied with EWF 10x/22 mm or EWF 10x/20 mm (Ø 30 mm tubus) eyepieces, one eyepiece with crosshairs and one eyepiece with crosshairs and micrometer. Specific models for identifying asbestos have an HWF 12.5x/15 mm (Ø 30 mm tubus) eyepiece and an HWF 12.5x/15 mm eyepiece with Walton-Beckett scale

HEAD

Viewing Head

To customize the microscope to your viewing comfort, the eyepiece spacing can be easily adjusted using a precision Siedentopf mechanism. A diopter is available on the left ocular tube to compensate for asymmetry, and the ocular tubes are angled at 30° to comfortably accommodate a seated position without neck strain. Various eyepieces can be used to increase the overall optical magnification.
