CMEX-5 Pro USB 3.0 high speed camera
The CMEX-5 Pro cameras are equipped with 5.1 CMOS sensors with 12 bits grayscale conversion and a 24 bits color rendering. The cameras are equipped with a USB- 3 data interface enabling fast frame rates
Besides capturing of images and videos, the ImageFocus Alpha software allows measurements on still and live images and to perform annotations on captured images. Compatible with Windows 10 and higher, both 32 and 64 bits configurations. A 2 GB RAM 2.8 GHz computer and 17 inch display is recommended as minimum requirement. A Mac OS version is available
This digital microscope is a completely self-sufficient inspection system, designed to simplify and improve efficiency in your workflow. It starts with a high-quality, zoom optical system which moves effortlessly through the optimal magnification range for PCBs, machined parts, forensics, and dissection. The high-performance imaging system renders real-time, no-lag video on the 11.6” screen with extreme clarity. As you capture photos, the internal software provides an extensive set of measurement functions to analyze and take notes.
Zoom Optics
The zoom objective lens provides 0.7X to 4.5X optical magnification to cover a wide range of subjects, and is ideally suited for dissection, soldering, and machining. The use of a single objective eliminates the inconsistent focus and distortion caused by lens-tilt seen with stereo microscopes. Each key magnification in the zoom range has a detent for improved repeatability, especially when performing measurements.
1080p Digital Imaging
The built-in camera and 11.6” high-definition screen bring images to life with clarity and precision. By making use of HDMI streaming, live images are rendered in real time without lag at a smooth 60fps. Use the included wireless mouse to navigate the on-screen controls, then capture and edit photos using a variety of measurement tools. Each magnification can use its own calibration setting to accurately draw and measure lines, arcs, ellipses, and more. Files can be saved to external USB devices such as drives and card writers.
Ergonomics and Illumination
The microscope is pre-mounted to a tabletop stand, which features a large base for stability, and rack-and-pinion focus. Focus is controlled by symmetrical knobs with adjustable tension located on either side of the track-style column. A clip-on LED ring light can be easily detached or attached to the head as needed, and provides bright, even, low-heat illumination. Brightness and magnification controls are ergonomically grouped together to promote an efficient workflow.

A Webcam for Your Microscope
AmScope’s MD series digital eyepiece cameras are lightweight and compact, making them perfect companions to any microscope. Another huge benefit is their ability to be used with popular video conferencing apps just like a webcam. This is because they use UVC protocol, making them plug-and-play compatible on most platforms, including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. Whether remote-streaming a QC line or partcicpating in an online class, the MD series digital eyepiece can connect you to the world.
The MD500A is an ultra-compact 5MP USB digital microscope camera, ideally suited for use as an eyepiece camera. By itself, it will fit 23mm ocular or photo ports, but it can be adapted to fit 30mm or 30.5mm ports using the included sleeves. Using the USB interface for both connectivity and power, only a single cable is needed.
With software available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, this camera package is a multi-platform imaging solution. The included Windows software offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. With the ability to calibrate scales at multiple magnifications, the software can be used for multi-level inspection. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while simultaneously capturing high-definition images. For Mac and Linux, there is a lite version of the software which can capture video and still images, and includes limited processing features.
