The accuracy test involves using 3 x different speed-gun verified tuning forks and 3 x different sets of batteries over a time frame of about 3 days, and a live road test compared side by side with a different type of speed gun.

Introducing the Stalker ATS II

Stalker ATS II Radar Gun is state-of-the-art accurate at measuring and recording speed. Whether it is for law enforcement, car racing, private security or sports like baseball, tennis or hockey, just aim and pull the trigger. The Stalker ATS II Radar Gun gives you an accurate speed between 1 and 800 miles per hour all within 10-milliseconds.

This radar gun system was designed to take highly detailed measurements of vehicle speed, both acceleration and deceleration. The Stalker ATS II customized software package connects, transfers and analyzes the data from the Stalker ATS II radar gun. Together the software and hardware become the Stalker Acceleration Testing System, (STATS). This allows your pc or laptop to provide safe, secure and convenient access to all your relevant speed data.

The Stalker ATS II can also store data internally, up to 60 minutes of recording. Baseballs can be tracked up to 500 feet away and vehicle recordings can be taken up to three km. The Stalker ATS II uses a microwave system on the Ka Band, 15 mw nominal. It acquires targets in 0.01 seconds with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.1 mph.

The Stalker ATS II is light, thin and compact. It weighs just 2.15 pounds. It is weather resistant and it’s waterproof to a depth of 2 feet. Rechargeable Li-Ion batteries offer over 2 hours of use.

The Stalker ATS II is versatile, at home on the race or performance track, the roadside or the baseball field. If the question is how fast it’s going, the answer is the Stalker ATS II Radar Gun.

Powerful, hand-held Radar With a 1 – 1267 km/h speed range, it’s capable of clocking automobiles for up to 3 km.

Speed and acceleration events are measured at precise intervals and stored in the gun as separate trials. The number of trials that can be stored is dependent on each trial’s length. A total of 60 minutes of readings can be stored in the ATS II.

Data Transferred to Computer
To process and analyze the speed and acceleration data, the ATS II is first connected to a computer running the Stalker STATS II software. The data is transferred and saved as a file on the computer’s hard drive. Since speed, time, distance, and acceleration (or deceleration) are mathematically related, having any two of these measurements mean the other components can be derived with absolute accuracy.

Use the ATS II Anywhere
The ATS II gun is waterproof in up to two feet of water so you can use it anywhere – on the lake or ocean, on snow, on straight roads, in your car, or in your backyard. Just position the ATS II behind (or ahead of) the test vehicle. You can even place the radar inside the test vehicle and take speed readings from the terrain. There is nothing to attach to the vehicle to change its aerodynamics or weight.

Simply connect the ATS II to your computer running STATS II and download the trial data. Software analysis is simple and automated.
